So, no jokes here. Has Biden actually done anything useful since 2020? His BBB went down the drain. He “exonerated” prisoners with weed charges that didn’t exonerate most people. He’s pushing for war with Russia and China. Like, has he done anything beneficial for people? He lowered the gas prices for like, what, 2 months? I’m supposed he’s gonna save us?

He pulled out of Afghanistan and almost entirely ended the use of drone strikes. His tax reform was a total joke, but at least it was baby steps in the right direction rather than the giant leap back that was the the TCJA. His NLRB threw out certain Amazon elections. His student loan cancellation policy is a total joke which appears like it will be struck down by the court, but my understanding is he changed the repayment scheme if you do the 10-year public service work repayment to be more generous or something.

So in terms of positives I guess there’s some stuff. The real advantage of course is he’s doing less bad stuff than a republican would do, not that he’s doing good stuff.

Couldn't even muster up much of a fight for his student debt relief plan, which was paltry from the get go.

the changes to student loan payments have made it so that in income based repayment plans, the govt pays the interest. And people pay 5% of their income after someone makes a certain amount, I think currently it is 15%. Meaning someone who graduates and can't find work does not have interest fucking them over

The IRA bill has increased domestic production of things like solar panels and EVs. Some amount of money has gone to infrastructure but too much of that is going to highways and shit.

The media is such shit. This is important but it's not culture war shit so that makes it boring "policy" stuff so they won't cover it much.

We'll have 614 days of crap instead.

DeSantis will be the death knell to the American Empire, basic administration will be non existent. Unfortunately he will bring mass death and fascism with him

Idk, man. Is he even going to survive the primary? And then go up against the most milquetoast corporate friendly flack to hold the Presidency since Truman and win?

The man's campaign is going to be a trainwreck of grift, hate, and dysfunctional infighting.

He won't win the 2024 nomination. But 2028 and Beyond?

Tampon Ron is in his early 50s. He will be around for a long time. 2028 could well be a match up between Ron and :pete:

It's possible the GOP goes hard in the paint for DeSantis and just rigs every red state election. But I don't really see Dems in the big blue states playing along. And rigging will create a bunch of bad blood in the general.

He can't beat Trump without undermining his chances in the general. Not without a huge media coup in his favor. And the media seems to favor Biden ATM.

Even if he doesn't survive the primary - there's VP slot, and this fascist is relatively young. He isn't going away for a while.

Trump's not going to make a guy who spends half the primary bashing him a VP. He's going to nominate another simp, like Pence.

        He can't win the nomination.

        Trump can't win the general.

So whatever empty suit the Democrats nominate is going to win.

Why does everyone assume he is running? He doesn't have to run in 2024. He can literally have Trump piss himself away and come in next go around practically unopposed. He's so popular in his state he can just continue to build clout as the future of the Republican party.

The US government already hemorrhages talent because the most competent flies through the revolving door to the private sector as soon as they can. Glad to see we'll soon have an administration of concave-skulled good ol' boys from Ft. Lauderdale running the show for our big fight with the China, which still maintains a centuries old tradition of staffing a talented, professional civil service at all levels of government.

I am ready to be administratively humiliated.

      FUCK THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

      This but unironically

The States make the USA. We don't have enough federalism. The federal government has way too much power and influence, and could use a good mowing.
