Srsly Jerry is such a fucking annoying bully.
Tom was usually just enjoying his day and bothering nobody
then Jerry shows up and makes it his holy mission to ruin Tom's life
that's usually
then there's the cartoons where Tom starts destitute and down on his luck and Jerry still insists on tormenting him, for no other reason than "they should fight lmao"
Being a Tom supporter is the first path to many a leftist.
You're cheering for the guy who's just minding his own business enjoying his life but is cursed with the designated villain because the forces of the universe...just don't like him? Meanwhile, the asshole that goes around pissing the guy minding his own business off and gets cheered on for it always wins?
As a bi, left-leaning Jew, Tom is a perfect representation for me. Sorry Superman Jr.
When I was a child I asked my dad when the coyote would catch the roadrunner
Idk, I always liked Jerry because the implication was that Tom was going to eat him if he caught him. But my favorite ones were where they both teamed up against the dog.
Does anyone here remember the episode where both Tom and Jerry get dumped by their girlfriends and it's implied they committed suicide on a railroad track?
I don’t know if this is true for all the series’, but in the originals that I remember, Tom and Jerry knew they were putting on a show. Tom had no interest in catching mice and Jerry pretty much had free rein of the kitchen. Until Mammy (yes, there was a literal black woman named Mammy) threatened to throw Tom out if he didn’t start catching mice. Jerry knew that Tom would be replaced with a meaner cat who would actually kill him, so they work together to make it look like Tom’s doing a good job. And of course sometimes one of them gets carried away and the other actually gets pissed. But for the most part it was a kind of a “Mornin’ Ralph, Mornin’ Sam” dynamic
You watched Tom and Jerry as a kid
I watched Itchy and Scratchy
We are not the same
Seems like it's a normal take for adults in retrospective, but kids are usually on Jerry's side.
Supporting Tom while you were still a child would make you a bit of an odd one
I preferred Tom because you root for the underdog and nothing ever goes well for Tom
The episode where Tom was executed by the king of France set me clearly on the side of Tom.
Tom is a
graincheese hoarding kulak and anything Jerry does to him is justified self defenseSite full of leftists stanning for the settler's armed forces. Smh.
I don't even know which ones Tom and which ones Jerry
Death to America
that's so obvious in retrospect. I'm a fucking genius everybody
