Makes me super happy to see her so freaking angry.

China has disrupted the market. China is not a free market economy. We tried. We let them into the World Trade Organization. We sent our businesses over there. We made trade deals. They are a controlled top-down economy. You will never compete and win against them, unless you take back the means of production.

She said this back in 2020 2021. It's always interesting to see when a politician drops the media face and shows they do have some grasp of what is actually happening around them.

Also, thank fuck she has no chance of office. With how she's talking it seems she'd rather risk thermonuclear war than let US empire continue its steady collapse.

Yeah I think I’ve come to the conclusion that Trump winning in 2016 was the good outcome, because Clinton would likely have started WW3.

For sure, but I’ve said since 2020 that Biden was worse than Trump, which I think has become demonstrably true since he took office. Literally every bad idea Trump had about covid, Biden implemented and made sure the media shut the fuck up about it. He’s killed more people with covid even with a very effective vaccine existing.

I don’t think you can make that argument. Biden has been negligent and uncaring of women’s rights, trans rights etc, but Trump would actively ban shit at a federal level.

On labor, both are horrible. Same with China. But imo Trump wouldn’t hesitate to throw everyone who’s not a cis white male into camps which Biden is less likely to do.

I just don’t understand that argument since those things have been happening under Biden but didn’t happen under Trump. The anti-trans laws were passed under Biden, not Trump. Roe was overturned under Biden, not Trump. Trump raved about China sure, but Biden’s trade war and propaganda campaign have been far more effective.

Trump was too incompetent and loud to do the evil shit that Biden’s been able to do

                What is your argument here?

That if Trump won in 2020, he wouldn’t have let Roe v Wade be overturned? He would’ve acted against DeSantis and other Republicans going fascist on a state level wrt bipoc and lgbtq people?

                Seriously?

                Are you fucking joking?

He would’ve done acted similarly in a federal level. He’s literally campaigning on that right now.

No, my argument is that the only difference between them is that Trump pisses people off and Biden doesn’t, and if they’re gonna do the same shit I’d rather the libs also be mad about it, rather than sad but content like they are under Biden.

The Overton window is kind of a dumb concept, but using that as a framework Trump sets the right wing baseline in the same place Biden sets the left wing baseline.

They have the same policies, but instead of having 75% of congress to his left, Biden makes 75% of congress be instinctually to his right.

I agree with you to an extent. Biden does a lot of the same things trump does, but the media and “progressive” politicians stay quiet.

But in the cases I laid out, for LGBTQ, women, and bipoc people, trump would not just sit back and let DeSantis and others upstage him. He would enact these fascist policies on a federal level and that is an unacceptable outcome for me.

Maybe you’re fine with it, in which case, go ahead.

I’m certainly not fine with it, I just think you’re incorrect on that prediction. I think that because Trump stoked people to be so mad, he would face far more resistance and wouldn’t have been able to enact the policies that Biden/the governors under Biden have.

Trump is such a disaster that he gums up the works too much to be as evil as Biden is my point.

Also I could certainly be wrong, and my random dipshit thoughts on a possible alternate history are not exactly useful
