Veteran reporter says she’s never seen protests with this kind of intensity and commitment in the decades she’s been covering France.

Watch the union leader clear the fog that the Politico shlub from some think tank literally called “Friends of Europe.” It’s a beautiful thing.

Shit is really ratcheting up.

And, apparently in Israel too! Damn, didn’t know a thing about that…

Fucking Twitter sucks so bad it’s unbelievable. The trending topics are a complete and utter farce, but have been for years and years now.

The last large demonstrations on Thursday were huge. Lik gigantic. If you look at videos the energy is only been hyping up, not down.

:inshallah: :inshallah-script: this is only the beginning of the social movement.

Also comrades please check out the events at Saint-Solline this last weekend.

As one commentator said, even if he doesn’t back down and gets what he wants it’s a total Pyrrhic victory.

The people have clearly funneled all of their hate and energy about the corporate price-gouging, constant shredding of their social safety net and the outrage of sending more billions to Ukraine in America’s proxy war into the villainous person on Wall St Boy Macron.

A friend of mine is a French expat and he's a fucking Macron stan. He got visibly upset once when I compared the man to Justin Trudeau. I guess he's less of a bold-faced liar snake than Trudeau but otherwise they're basically the same person no?

Macron is a banker so he is more competent in terms of neoliberal policy, Justin Trudeau is basically a nepobaby propped up by Canada's biggest industry.

The presidential system of France can also overwrite parliamentary decision, making Macron more powerful compare to Trudeau who is lucky because the opposition is too incompetent and his coalition are too limped to pressure him anyway

The post-9/11 EU world has been a sick inside cabal of IMF puppets running the show. Italy’s Renzi and Macron are former Wall St Economic Terrorists.

Yeah, let’s turn over the entire country’s wealth, work force, pensions and natural resources to bank stooges whose whole practice has been the predatory vulture capitalism playbook of gambling away pension funds, selling out infrastructure and cutting wages.

It’s literally like a medieval situation with kings and queens of finance. But with we peasants having cable tv to and endless access to cheap trinkets made by child slave labor in SE Asia.

      Macron is their puppet boy.

Israel's far-right government is making moves to institute more authoritarian policies in the field of the judiciary system. But it's not in the territories of de jure Palestine, but domestically as well, so libs actually care this time.

Bibi wants to overhall the judiciary in order to be able to more fully exert the power of the executive over this. In the context of Israeli politics, this is basically him pushing for or allowing his more religiously zealot allies to go more mask-off fascist instead of keeping the façade of a liberally authoritarian judiciary.

In Israel, Bibi wants to control the judiciary. Ik bouregois "separation of powers" but fascist Zionists think the judiciary is leftist or something.

Also Bibi is facing several corruption charges and it's only him being prime minister that is preventing his prosecution. He's also trying to save his own skin.

“Israel was filled with surreal images Sunday night as thousands of people lit bonfires and gathered to protest in the streets against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his planned judicial overhaul.

On Monday morning, those dramatic scenes were replaced by another: of packed trains and crowded roads as protesters convened on Jerusalem in an effort to sustain pressure on Netanyahu as his governing coalition appeared to teeter over the divisive judiciary legislation.

Israel’s national labor union announced a general strike for Monday. Businesses and many schools were closed; universities canceled classes; and departures were grounded at Ben-Gurion Airport.”

Fascist fuck has his hands full.

          Just this morning: https://twitter.com/kbandersen/status/1640303196580216832?s=46&t=dnuXR1cU7ytv0obOlt9Nzw

Edited to add more about protest in Netanyahoo’s house and other politicians:

“ Around a thousand protesters gathered on Azza Street in Jerusalem, where Netanyahu's official residence is located. Protesters breached through security measures, before they were stopped. After clashes erupted between police forces and protesters near Netanyahu's residence, the police used a water cannon to push protesters back.

Thousands of protesters marched towards the Knesset and protested in front of it, while the discussion about the judicial selection bill was still underway. The discussion was later postponed.

The protesters lit a bonfire in front of the Knesset, while the police did not attempt to disperse the protest.

In Modi'in protesters gathered at Shilat junction and blocked traffic there. Clashes developed between protesters and supporters of the reforms, including the use of pepper spray.

Around 2,500 protesters swarmed the city of Haifa, blocking traffic on Horev junction, while 2,000 protesters gathered in Beersheba and lit a fire in the middle of the junction at the city's entrance, Israeli media outlets reported.

A man was arrested on suspicion of running over a protester during a demonstration at the Karkur intersection on Highway 65, early on Monday morning. The protester was lightly injured and was taken to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera.

Protests at politician's houses Around 300 people gathered outside Gallant's home to express support to the recently fired politician, Ynet reported. On Sunday morning, reservists from Brothers in Arms protested near National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's home in Kiryat Arba.

The protestors put up giant signs reading "stop! Border ahead, entry to a dictatorship" and "it's too big for you" with a drawing of Ben-Gvir inside a military boot. The protesters also blocked the road at the entrance to Kiryat Arba. Two protesters were arrested after police said they tried to break into Ben-Gvir's house.

Protesters also gathered outside the home of Agriculture Minister Avi Dichter, Tourism Minister Haim Katz, Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli and Likud MK Danny Danon. Around 2,000 protesters also gathered outside Likud MK Gila Gamliel's home.”

I hope this is good and they end up getting the goods, but the doomer boomer I am, having seen enough things happen, I feel like this is going to just fizzle out without any positive outcomes, only to fade back into obscurity as everyone just goes home and pats themselves on the back for a non-job well unfinished.

      I hear ya.

Have had my hopes up high only to get heart broken on too many occasions to count.

Since Occupy there’s been quite a few. Some that I bet people might not even remember, and that I’ve forgotten . The Turkish Uprising of 2012(?), the Lebanese uprising in which people were showing up with Joker masks, the pre-George Floyd Uprising BLM rallies and protests, the many teachers strikes throughout the country, the airline stewardess proposed strike that got Trump to cave from withholding federal employer money, various S American massive protests, the Sri Lanka sacking of the president’s home, Yellow Vests, etc (what else am I forgetting ?).

It’s notable again that the fascist media is to a large extent completely omitting or as usual framing it in the typical “protesters clash with police” in a two-minute segment completely devoid of any real, meaningful context.
