They removed 14 posts related to the hysterectomy whistleblower yesterday.

Some of these posts had ~15k upvotes, and a lot of users are now calling the mods fash. Love to see it.

    What do they gain by keeping this off their site? I don't get the end game.

      It seems like its because the story isn't a clear "Trump bad" thing. The mods pointed out it was done by an ICE "contractor" and not a direct policy of the Trump administration. Aka they don't want the story to blow up because it makes people realize that this country's institutions are bad and that isn't just because of Trump. r/politics otherwise is basically just "Trump administration bad, government agencies ok." r/politics is meant to be a place to trap liberals into the facade of American politics and slow their realization of the evil of this country.

        Seriously though, that's fucking stupid. I think you're probably right, but in what world is the person knowingly cutting the checks not at all responsible for the villainy their money buys? I imagine (hope??) the argument is in complete bad faith and these people's moral compasses aren't ACTUALLY this out of whack, but god only knows.
