Is this out of genuine concern about mental health?

Is this about preventing ""grooming""?

Is this the ruling class seeking to curb and kill social media altogether? We've seen fears expressed from some in the ruling class that it needs to go.

This is Mormons doing Mormon shit. Anyone who is at all familiar with Utah shouldn’t be surprised at stuff like this.

It's chuds, so my first guess is they're doing it for the same reason they did all those textbook burnings and shit. Gotta keep kids from hearing any Bad Ideas.

So this law is going to force facebook to make people upload a picture of their ID to verify their age :data-laughing: Good luck with that Utah

I think at the very least this is doing a good thing for a bad reason.

We've all seen the brainworm slop that Social Media serves up. I don't think adults should be subjected to that shit, much less kids.

I think their fear is that social media is responsible for the significant spread of progressive views, especially with zoomers being so lgbt, and that they think the inevitable continuation of this is eventually going to lead to socialism. Ergo, it must be killed or controlled.

At least some of them are viewing the "woke mind virus" as a path to communism and fighting social media as if it is the cause of it for that reasoning.

Why are kids having all of these mental issues? Is it because they live in a brutal society on a dying planet and can only look forward to things getting worse for the rest of their lives?

No, it must be the TikToks.

Having grown up with unrestricted internet access I do think there needs to be limits on how children can use the internet, but TikTok is pretty low down on the scale of harmful websites
