When I drink lots of caffeine, I almost immediately feel intensely sleepy and need to nap. No idea why. Abused it a lot during computer science.

I went cold turkey on caffeine and had a mild headache for like a week but now I can actually drink some and get a benefit again
I managed to quit caffeine by switching to 2 decent dehydrated coffees, one decaf. That lets you smoothly titrate it down to full decaf, with the aim of being somewhat tired with a very mild, tylenol manageable headache some of the day. After a few weeks of that, I was pretty much off completely.
Now I can drink a single soda or coffee and stay completely alert while night driving! It's great. A day later I do get extremely sleepy, but not sick or headachy.
So I normally have a somewhat high tolerance for caffeine, but since it's Ramadan I haven't really been able to drink any for almost a month, and I kind of look forward to coffee having an effect on me again.
I'm definitely a caffeine addict, and I have no intention of trying to kick this addiction. I do have a pretty solid tolerance and can drink a cup right before going to bed, without worrying about not being able to sleep, although I do tend to avoid doing it. Coffee is great. I don't drink it to stay awake and make my boss more money. I drink it because I enjoy it, I enjoy roasting it, brewing it and tasting it. I think the association coffee = productivity is one of the most disheartening things about how our society treats such an incredible drink.

7-9 cups a day 6 years ago down to 2-3 these days. Had a lot of headaches over the years, but I'm happy with where I'm at. Also eating a lot more, which is good for me. Still love the bean juice though
I'm in the process of weening myself off of caffeine and I'm down to ~25mg in order to keep the headaches at bay. Going from 2 energy drinks + caffeine pills a day to one light tea a day has been a journey. Here's to hoping I didn't do any lasting damage
