Would be deeply funny if all of the trans people left the US for Cuba and suddenly the GOP has to change its tack after realizing the only people who understand any aspect of the telecom infrastructure left in the country are about 9 gay furries who are already retired.
Telecommunications as a whole, which also encompasses The Internet, is in a constant state of failure and just in time fixes and functionally all modern communication would collapse if about 50 people, most of which are furries, decided to turn their pager off for a day.
There's no real organizing principle or structure between those 50 people, which on the one hand means that organizing them from scratch would be hard, but on the other hand means new power if they were organized.
I also I think that, being mostly sys admins, they probably have a lot of anarchist and communist sentiment already. But they're also going to be people who've spent a whole career watching big plans fail and make extra work for them, so it might be hard to convince them to do things.
The blockade would need to be lifted for treatment to be anywhere close to the US, even if legal protections are broader
I bet folks will leave Florida for other states long before they leave the country entirely.
