We mourn the loss of a hero. I've never seen anyone as effective at getting people to disengage with social media.

Lmao Twitter won't/can't recover when it has to pay all the interest it owes to the banks for him to purchase it.

The only way to save Twitter is to completely reverse course on the utterly stupid decisions that have led to a plummet in the quality of content. Whatever you want to say about the bougies that chant it they're right when they say "content is king".

He has made the site immensely worse at delivering the good content while also making it much better at delivering dogshit.

But it can't be reversed because it needs to make money to pay off his interest payments, which it never will be able to achieve. It can't reverse course, and it can't make that money this way because it's killing the site. It's doomed.

I'd say I hope she negotiated a good deal (because Twitter is likely doomed), but who am I kidding, people at that level just fail up

Ugh, classic glass cliff situation. Betcha she'll do a bunch of unpopular but necessary (for the continued operation of the company to generate profit) stuff and then resign or be forced out for Musk to "reluctantly" retake the position.

Ah the ol :reddit-logo: switcharoo. Put in an unpopular ceo, a woman if you will. And then replace them with a :libertarian-approaching: ceo who thinks he will be king when society crumbles. :melon-musk: does take every old :reddit-logo: meme.

Elon Musk announced he will shift into the role of chief technologist.

I can't tell if this is a bullshit job title so he can still claim that he works at twitter while moving on to the next failure. Or if he's going to keep doing what he's doing and hopes people will be mad at the new CEO instead of him.
