    Tankie's favorite

challenge this moron to cite a single example in the entire universe of a "tankie" endorsing Kissinger

In a certain respect, he does have very capable analysis of a number of subjects, he's just also a monster and a butcher and one of the world-historic figures most deserving of actually, literally going to hell and being tortured forever. There's a reason his book on China is a best-seller in China.

I think it's only because Kissinger was one of the architects of modern China-US diplomacy. Kissinger is regarded with a weirdly high amount of praise in China currently, but that praise seems to be limited to his advocacy for the Chinese-American relationship. I don't know how the average Chinese person feels about his role in the Vietnam war or Cambodia.

However, among English speaking Marxists Kissinger is regarded as Satan himself, so yeah I have no idea who among 'tankies' is endorsing him. All I ever see is hope that he'll die soon, and hopefully it is soon inshallah

at this point I've gone from hoping he dies to hoping he lives for another ten years and sees his entire life project destroyed as the US get checked into the fucking boards by China

I remember that one time people also got mad at the Vietnamese diplomat who met with some French ambassadors and they ate a thousand dollar steak or something. Or that other time Xi Jinping met with an Israeli ambassador to discuss some trade deal.

I'm just neutral about it. Governing a country means you sometimes have to meet with all the rancid pieces of shit who run other countries, I guess.
