    Sup comrade maduro-coffee

Glad to have you. Just FYI one way HB differs from lemmygrad is that sectarianism isn't tolerated - please respect our anarchist comrades. (Our anarchists are good and cool and respect AES, not "tankie"-obsessed online weirdos.) Also dunking on Trots and socdems is 100% fair game che-smile

Even trots and socdems do positive electoral stuff sometimes so we do occasionally "gotta hand it to them"

truly this is a land of contrasts

I agree, like Malm, Richard-D-Wolff and long-corbyn are Trots, and maduro-katana-1maduro-katana-2 is a socdem lol.

Like as this exchange continues it really reveals how esoteric our "no sectarianism" rule really is lol.

We have one poster who has been banned over 10 times for sectarianism, but is not hated at all because they've never had a subsequent comment in an interaction with anyone, just detached rants with zero follow-up. Cool guys don't look at explosions.

They are known to everyone else by their username from about 7 accounts ago. You'll know the posting style when you see it, it's very unique and we love it.

gotta do three \\\ of these to escape one of them and the underscore

also quite a few of the bpp were maoists so maybe you'll narrow whatever problem you have with specific maoists away from writing off an entire tendency with a history of organizing success in the united states.

I don't have an affinity group but i feel like i don't have the luxury of being picky about which franchise of anticapitalists manage to start doing anything around here as long as they're not ideologically racist or queerphobic.

Not "maoist third-worldist" but "third world maoist", as in a Maoist in, say, Nicaragua or India as opposed to Austin Red Guard or whatever.

The hexbear ethos in a nutshell.

I love and appreciate our anarchist comrades and want to eventually arrive at a place where the state dissolves. But until then, lenin-crush-capitalism mao-aggro-shining

We're terminally online. A large fraction of us are on here 5+ hours a day. Many if not most of us are refugees from the Choppo sub; John Brown lives forever in our hearts; we will usually try to get reactionaries to post hog before we ban them. The official podcast of Hexbear is not the one we have a comm named after, it's either Citations Needed or The Deprogram or TrueAnon. There are tons of meme formats that we generate just on this website (I think the one of the latest ones was about posts being Dutchified). We have LOTS of running gags, including entire accounts that are a bit. We collect a lot of our daily chat into megathreads, OP content unrelated. We have another megathread just for breaking news. We love our trans comrades; at least a third of us are trans or nonbinary. Some of us are gamers and have at least one discord server and I think a Steam group too. We have a cytube, where there's often music playing and where we have movie watch parties on weekends. Everyone here is Train Gang. We encourage veganism. There's a good struggle session at least once or twice a month. Everyone here is a lib except for me, the one true leftist. Post anything directly about a certain fake leftist streamer and you'll get bopped with a funny clown hammer. We eagerly await the death of Henry Kissinger, and celebrate every time a billionnaire dies or a cop or Nazi gets killed. stalin shouldn't have stopped at berlin. Our favorite animal is an owl, though you will see lots of posts about Biggs, marshal Sasha, and Basil, and maybe a few others I'm forgetting.

That     is how the Hexbear do.

A Steam group as well?! Not just a Discord?

Also, neato, TrueAnon. I like your taste.

      (RevLeft Radio sucks nowadays.)

Also, at this point, Kissinger is going to reach 100 if he hasn't already...

Also, if no one has said it already, Social Democracy is objectively the left-wing of Fascism. That's literally the only thing I would add to the above post.

          I was going to put

the maoist uprising against the landlords was the largest and most comprehensive proletarian revolution in world history, and resulted in an almost total redistribution of the lands to the peasantry

but that would have dominated the paragraph so I went with the shortest one.

I know this is borderline insufferable, but Pluto is a dwarf planet. Moons don't orbit stars, they orbit planets (and dwarf planets, which is how Pluto itself can have ~5 moons).

I have no respect for a celestial body that can't even clear it's orbit of similarly sized objects.

I'll be the first person to hate on Jupiter (failed star ass) but everything that shares an astroid with Jupiter is locked into that position by Jupiter's gravity. Therefore it is gravitationally dominant, or has cleared it's orbit.

Admittedly Charon is almost half of Pluto's size (and is thereby itself sometimes considered a dwarf planet rather than a moon), but the other moons are more than an order of magnitude smaller, which is a greater proportional difference than the one between Earth and its moon (roughly 6:1).

IMO Pluto–Charon is definitely a double dwarf planet system. And I've seen arguments that Earth–Moon should be considered a double planet.

If Pluto isn't a moon, why is its barycenter in space? meow-shining

I'm kidding, I know it's dwarf planet within a binary system.
