Shitting on Malaysian and Singaporean cuisine

Thinking French cuisine is somehow worse than the garbage the British call food

Imagine being this mentally colonized.

Arent italians suposed to eat lots of shelfish both literaly and metaforically? That seems pretty good. Also they have nice cheeese.

Its not that Italian food is bad or not good, its just the kind of food that someone who doesn't actually have many serious opinions about food will pick out if they for whatever reason feel like they need to have a food opinion.

The exception being maybe people who are opinionated about their home food, but other than that its like French food is too fancy and pretentious, "foreign" food is also pretentious but in a different way if you decide to call it your favourite, so its basically Italian that is left.

For the specific type of guy I'm thinking of its definitely too foreign.

If someone says Chinese food is their favourite/"the best", in my experience its more likely that they either have a really great restaurant near them and its just a food observation that they like the food there, rather than an opinion. Or they have a more deep seated reason for putting it on top, like having it as their home food, being a fanatic for it otherwise, they've decided that cuisines are the frontline of the political battle etc. Rather than it just being like a default option to pick whenever they need to declare someone the best at food.

Casu martzu sounds awesome tho i havent tried it. I like the ferench cheeses too. maybe im imagining it but i find the italian types easier to digest. Probably its because of longer fermentation periods on average?.

But what really males italian cousine better than french is the shelfish and the heavier use of spices.

It is a very soft but uh extremely strong tasting, also since its „banned“ its kinda of like an experience that you have to try, if you visit sardinia. The latter is true, italian cusine is much more diverse than french one. Well I personally think that italian cheese is less fatty? If you can describe it like that, like I can’t eat like a huge amount of it.

While there are some fattier italian cheses like parmesan. You are correct. French cheese has generally more cream wich means it also melts easier wich is good. I stll prefer the longer fermentation tho.
