    The Straight Story (1999) -- David Lynch's highly-acclaimed drama about an old man who rides his tractor hundreds of miles to visit his dying brother. We need more Lynch in here!

    Gung Ho - Came out in 1986. A Pittsburgh car factory shuts down and a foreman approaches Japanese businessmen to save it. Japanese come in, get rid of the union, implement strict policies and all the good ol' blue collar Americans must adapt.

    From when Japan was China and the plot of a Michael Keaton comedy vehicle was that the US had to get rid of unions because of Japanese businesses. The movie has been criticized for being xenophobic and not hard enough on the lazy American workers.

    Cure (1997) -- Kiyoshi Kurosawa's take on Se7en, pretty much. Cool, stylish crime thriller, currently ranked #215 on Letterboxd's Top 250.
