    The few libs that will object to this will say he's bad because he lied to congress. Not because he was directly involved in literal terrorism by supplying weapons, intelligence, training, logistics, etc to the Contras. The Contras (almost certainly at the direction and command of the US) went on to slaughter innocent men, women, and children by the thousands. THAT is why Abrams is bad. But going down that road means admitting the US is an evil imperialist power that's just 3 war crimes in a trench coat, and we can't have that can we....

      Have you considered that he was doing this with the best intentions and the goal was to stop the spread of communism, and you must never ask if that was a good thing.
