Definition of a NATO leftist: A self-proclaimed leftist living in a NATO country that claims to have read some theory, understands Marx, and aspires for their countries to attain a moneyless/stateless society where the workers own the means of production. They usually identify as anarchists or Communists as a way to shock their families during get togethers.
They'll post about "eating the rich" and "get the wall" until push comes to shove. Then they say it's too far and peaceful revolution is more necessary. Countries like China and Cuba are problematic and bad. They're insane and while the US isn't perfect, it's better than those countries. Some of them may even continue to identify as far-left so that they can spend their time arguing why Steven Universe and the Fire Emblem series are about class struggle or some other dumb breadshit content.
Cuba probably gets the most praise and sympathy from people that typically hate AES countries. Vietnam even moreso because I've never seen the level of hate going towards them that I do with Cuba or even Venezuela. It just exists.

Look, I support every communist movement everywhere, always. Except for the ones that actually accomplished anything. They went too far.
