I know the American rightwing is insane but they never fail to surprise me. I wish a reporter would interview anybody throwing a baseball at the cans. Crazy.

Not a single person attending the event will inquire how they obtained the cans or whether or not that conflicts with their supposed values.

How is your first thought not "free beer"? Like I know it's Bud Light but it's still free.

On a state level, desantis is a horrific fascist, and an effective one too. On the campaign trail, he's a clown.

I thought DeSantis was gonna be the "sane, competent" fascist compared to Trump but Trump unironically seems more sane than Ron.

DeSantis has his brain so broken by culture war bullshit, he (or at least his campaign) seems more terminally online than the presidential poster himself. And yet, he's a worse poster than Joe fucking Brandon who's literally 143 years old.

Surely the average Republican voter looks at this and goes jesse-wtf, right?

Seriously, Trump is as unhinged as ever but at least his staffers seem to generally be on top of things. The DeSantis campaign makes me go "wtf are they doing?" way, way more than our big wet boy ever has.

I think DeSantis thought he'd say he was Smart Trump and the nomination was his. His campaign makes no sense. On the one hand - he says he's sane and competent but on the other his campaign (and his PAC) are run by people who are way too online. Culture war stuff only works for the right-wing if they choose the right topics and cover them in the right way.

Freaking out the GOP in the suburbs not only is a loser in the general but a loser in the primaries as well. They aren't into Twitter drama, online minutiae and outright Nazi stuff. And Trump is his own thing. He's a cult leader with 10,000,000s of devoted followers. There's no way to duplicate that and simply take his voters.

I'm honestly starting to believe in the 5G rays that melt your brain. I mean how else can one explain this?
