Guessing that blip in New Hampshire is Mount Washington. It has its own really intense microclimate and is incredibly dangerous to climbers
Also lmao at parts of Finland getting more than 800+ hrs of sun vs the UK
How on Earth does that work?
I guess it also takes into account cloud coverage?
"Winters in Sweden can last up to 7 months...which is why the sun can go fuck itself."
- Nicholaus Arson, The Hives
How the fuck is this not all straight lines???
Oh, this isn't daylight hours, this is about clouds and shit, ok
It's little over a month since summer solstice and the nights are already noticeably darker
Bullshit. Northern Ohio along the shore of Lake Erie should be at least green or blue in this map.
Dfb climate zone fam rise up, because the sun hardly does.
So I should move to Iceland if I want to be in the comfy shade all day?
Jesus Christ I could never live there. South Africa may have many shit things, but weather with regards to sunlight is not one of them.
In the winter, when you leave home in the morning, it's dark. When you come back home, it's already dark.
Same in South Africa, but that's mainly because if shit transportation and working hours. And companies and schools starting super early in the mornings with no daylight savings time. Like today I had to wake up at 5am in the middle of winter, to shower and get ready, so I could be at work by 7am. We still get 11+ hours of sunlight in the darkest parts of winter.
Yeah, but in contrast in the summer it doesn't really get dark even at night
Yeah that's cool. Here the sun is fully set by 8pm, even in the full heat of summer
Yes haha. South African summers be like that. I have a small fan that runs all night to keep me cool. Makes sleeping easier.
On the other hand, less likely to die of skin cancer and heat stroke
