I almost feel bad when Floridians don't realize how big of a joke they are to everyone else

      we do

they're just a cruel and mean people

most of us are deeply poor and trapped here because to move anywhere else in the USA the cost of living is higher

the empathy subsides pretty quickly when you live among them.

living here for 30 years has destroyed my empathy for the ruling class and increased exponentially my empathy for everyone else

        this

If you didnt say this, I would have. The comment above yours is such a lib sentiment, reminiscent of the blue MAGA crowd who cheer on natural disasters in red states. Like the rest of Amerika, Florida was built by slave labor and hyper exploited wage labor, and many of the descendants of those slaves are still living there, caught in the cycle of poverty, serving treats to tourists and PMC/bourgeois residents.

I lived there from birth until I got a degree and took a job in the Midwest. It is hell. Everyone I knew as a kid wanted to get the hell out of there. There’s no way for us to “outvote” the conservatives because they’re flies to Florida’s honey. Wages are shit, cost of living is high, sex pests run rampant, and it is unbearably hot. And for most, moving is near impossible, as they must focus on surviving paycheck to paycheck.

We should really be more understanding on hexbear. Floridians hate meatball Ron, it’s just harder to vote when you’re in poverty.

Sorry my last comment was directed toward the other person, I also wanted to address you. You mentioned cost of living. Cost of living in the Midwest is a lot lower than in Florida (even cities like Minneapolis, Louisville, and St Louis are less expensive than many places in rural Florida) AND wages are higher! With my degree I would be making $20/hr max in Florida, but in a small Midwest city (population <200k) I make $30/hr

most floridians don't vote. many floridians can't vote because they're incarcerated. or they work a job that doesn't give them time off.

one of the leaked stories about him from a staffer is that on a flight to Israel he sat and stared at the seat in front of him for seven hours

EDIT: heard this on chapo and I thought I remembered reading about it too but I can't find it now

EDIT2: they just mentioned it again on the most recent ep

This may be one of the most unlikable, uncharismatic "people" to have ever existed.

Huh, who could have guessed that THE GUY WHOSE JOB IT WAS TO COERCE PRISONERS INTO DISCUSSING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE TORTURE THEY ENDURED IN ORDER TO IMPROVE METHODS OF TORTURE comes off as disingenuous thinky-felix

Just your typical “libs are all mentally unwell” joke that is so basic that your brain makes you think there must be more to the punchline then just insulting people.

Yeah he completely fumbled it. He meant to say the democrats would allow it and therefore the republicans should too, but he got lost among the words like the "have you ever had a dream" kid

Holy shit, that "man" 's job is to win popularity contests (although I dont specifically know how fucked up the electoral system is in Florida)

At least he's probably helping a lot of people with their impostor syndrom
