Were there twitch whisper messages with an individual minor back in 2017? The answer is yes. Were there real intentions behind these messages, the answer is absolutely not. These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more. Nothing illegal happened, no pictures were shared, no crimes were committed, I never even met the individual. I went through a lengthy arbitration regarding a civil dispute with twitch and that case was resolved by a settlement. Let me be clear, it was not a criminal case against me and no criminal charges have ever been brought against me.

Did I sext a child? Yes. Were there intentions? Yes. Were the intentions real? Define real. What is real anyways? Are you real? Am I real?

Look, I settled in a civil case okay? It wasn't even criminal!

Speaking as a dude around his age, there is no way he can be flirting with minors less than half his age and not be a completely arrested development man child. I can have conversations with people that age but there’s a distinct “this person is on a different wavelength than me, anything deeper than polite chatter would be awkward and annoying” feel to it. As I like to say, some girls are mature for their age, but if a fully grown, let alone middle aged, adult male wants to have a relationship with a girl like that, he’s not mature for his age.

Even if this was one of the cases where teenagers like being annoying or try to prove they’re “mature” by trying to impress or flirt with adults, normal people would just say fuck off. This grown ass man kept humoring the kid and interacting with her

projection I'd imagine this guy probably also calls trans folks "groomers" too.

Why is it that men who get the tinniest taste of wealth and power open palm slap the "become a pedophile" button?

I have a sneaking suspicion that most of these pedo cases are not even really because they're necessarily sexually attracted to underage people, it's more of a power trip thing, flexing their wealth and presumed power to do forbidden things just for the sake of it.

It's like eating ortolan, it probably doesn't even taste good, it's just decadence for its own sake, fuck the world, I'm rich, I can do whatever the hell I want to.

I think it's because it's not distinct from the typical predatory and pathological sexuality that a lot of men are socialized into, and how entrenched the infantilization of women is in misogyny in general. They already see women as lesser beings to be owned and used as they please, and have internalized the idea that wealth entitles them to do this and protects them from consequences, so it's a simple matter to expand their range of desired victims from adult women to teenage girls.

And that phenomenon is everywhere in American society and has been deeply entrenched for longer than anyone today has been alive. It's an integral part of American patriarchy and it's only in the past couple of decades that there's been any serious - or at least successful - effort to stamp it out.

I met a few underage people via videogames and all ages music venues when I was in my early 20s. Lemme say from experience: it's pretty easy to avoid certain topics, not share or ask for pictures, not seek invites to house parties full of high schoolers. If you're not keeping it above board it's almost guaranteed to be "if you seek it you will find it" territory. You don't accidentally sext a teenager. Or ask them about their sex lives. Or try to see them one on one.

totally not hard to chat with kids in a video game and not discuss sexual topics

completely impossible not to indoctrinate them with communism ideology, though

Exactly. I'm getting a bit old to even tolerate hanging out with high schoolers but it's inevitable every now and again, and I assure you that at no point have I accidentally discussed anything sexual with them. It's so easy. For the most part they don't want to talk about that shit with your crusty old ass anyway, and the few who do just need a firm "no, that's entirely inappropriate"

      It's so easy dude lmao

i was trying to tell the reddit 5heads who claimed he couldnt speak on the matter that if that was true then the nda must have including specifically discussion about this topic specifically, meaning that if this was their defense on why he couldnt talk about it then it was an admission there was truth behind the accusation. a legal canary in the mine if you will. but all the middleschoolers in that thread promised me i was wrong

I might be playing too much elden ring... "Remembrance of stalin" brought to mind a paired hammer and sickle, preferably scaling with strength. Damnit I wish there were more paired strength weapons.
