Honestly incredible that the only thing you need to do to have a sizeable trans userbase is not tolerate awfulness.
I dunno if that speaks to the number of closeted folks around, or just the low standards of most websites.
Almost every trans person I meet irl is some sort of leftist, or close enough to one that five minutes of talking about politics will get them calling themselves a socialist or anarchist. I find it amusing.
My trans/gender fluid friends were based as fuck long before I even supported Bernie, I'm sure it's often a radicalizing fucking life experience.
Trans people are cool as shit. Like, I'm afraid to stand up to my boss. Imagine standing up to the concept of gender. o7

Any transphobia you should be be able to report and the mods are quick to stomp it out. We don't take that bullshit kindly around here.
this is my favorite community I've ever been a part of on the internet. and a huge part of that is how welcoming this place is to LGBT people.
Got a friend's sibling coming-out trans for the first time to our small group of friends, I was honored that she trusted us enough to share it with us.
I'm also joyful that this community is making life on the internet less oppressive for all.
