Where do we begin with Elon Musk? This guy sucks. He really does. He’s a business magnate that wants to be Robert House, not realizing how much Robert House was an asshole. Imagine basing your politics of a vidya. While his cars are nice, he’s abusive to his staff, randomly fires people, and he takes all the credit for any successes in his companies. Give him your worst

The one good thing about him is that he's the perfect idiot bait, 99% of people who unironically like him don't have opinions worth considering

This motherfucker claims to be “Chief engineer” of Tesla. Literally what does he do, draw some shit on a napkin? Think of how many people probably deserve that title more than him at that company.

the piece of shit, had a hand in the coup against president morales for the crime of getting a better deal for their lithium, plus he has built a cult of personality around himself to protect him from criticism

I really don't understand why someone like Elon Musk doesn't take $100k per year ($1 million over ten years, so fucking pocket change) and actually do some good in the world. Like, no real good, like advocating for a better world or anything crazy like that. I know why he doesn't do that shit.

I'm just talking about like hiring a bunch of people to paint an old persons house. Or making a big show of donating to a zoo so they can build a new monkey cage. Just like send some person on twitter $1000, three times a day for a year. Like, this sort of "i'm a good billionaire" is dirt cheap, and it would be easy to hide the actual amount of money so that people don't get too interested in how much you "aren't" giving away.

Billy Gates has the right idea with his Foundation and making a big show of it. Elon could do that, but send every fan of Rick and Morty a nurf gun, or something.

Yeah, considering how cheap it would be to pay off a worth while chunk of the public, I figure it just because they don't feel the need to waste their time on the lowly public. We're just disgusting animals, or something in their minds.

I guess its obvious when you look at how they spend their money building up systems and actual walls to protect themselves from us. worldwarzantzombies.gif

estimates have musk at donating over $100 million to charity, and he's pledged half of his net worth to charity, which would probably come out at around $50 billion

I hope he lives a long and fulfilling life once he is separated from his money and sent to the gulag. He's gonna harvest the shit out of some carrots and make beautiful pickles to share with his neighbors, he's gonna raise that XÆ12 metal rat person to be a well-adjusted and happy adult, he's gonna carve his own furniture.

Once he finally sees that it was never about the money, it was only his own deep neuroses, insecurity and the reward structure of capitalism that led him to be a shit human being, he's gonna cry a little on his porch as the sun sets, vermilion and cerulean swirls a more beautiful sight than any corporate bonus or secured funding.

At that point, I step out of the shadows and activate my vintage Boring Company Flamethrower (tm).

Actually his cars are shit, they fall apart like twice daily, they are IMPOSSIBLE to repair, AND you need a special certification to even fucking touch one at a body shop

I’ve actually been in one for around 3 hours and it had a very smooth ride and good AC. I don’t know about the build quality though, but there are worse build qualities on electric cars

oh yeah, definitely. My point is more from a mechanics POV that they're expensive and inconvenient to fix, and they break more often than the muskrat wants to admit- They are quite comfy tho

Once people realize how clapped out most teslas are, I think they'll go into a period of loss like from around 08-11 (pre-elon) when their Model One roadster was selling like shit. Also, fun fact; The first Tesla roadster was effectively a prius powered lotus evora without much of their own technology inside

It was a Lotus Evora with 2000 computer batteries inside, and it also had an abysmal charge time

there's an interview where they discuss how much it shares with the lotus, and the response was something around 5% if not less.

Green energy is when you use the same dirty fuel sources as everyone else and then transform it into electricity, and the more you bullshit about it the greener it is.

I would highly encourage everyone to watch Planet of the Humans. It's free and lays out why green capitalism sucks ass. No, the "smart" billionaires are not going to pull a magical solution to climate change out of their asses, much less Elon Musk.
