I had some leftover steak last night, so I caramelized some onions and threw that with the steak into a quesadilla that I ate with some A1 on the side. I'm still dreaming about it today, wish I had more steak.

What's Japanese curry like? I really like curry in general so this piqued my interest.
Generally it's potatoes and carrots in a thick brown roux with curry spices served poured over rice. You can add chicken or beef if you aren't trying to be vegetarian. I've seen Golden Curry sold at walmart, kroger, and HEB so you don't even need to go to an asian market to make it unless you want it extra spicy.
Since grill season is on its way out I'm gonna grill some tandoori chicken

Grilling some jalapeno-lime marinated skirt steak. Trying to use what we have in the garden (so many peppers) before the first frost hits. Lunch was leftover brisket for sandwiches. As @butt [great name] said, grilling season is on the way out so trying to maximize the few weeks left.

I've only ever seen people make quiche with massive amounts of cream so I'm interested to hear how this comes out.
It comes out pretty well actually! You pretty much just substitute any diary products for almond milk. I finally came to terms with my dairy allergy a couple of years ago and have been finding alternatives to my favorite dairy dishes.
Most of the time they're not exactly the same, but still good in their own way, and close enough that they hit the spot. Like I found a "Dairy Free Alfredo Sauce". And it's pretty much 1 part vegetable broth to 1 part almond milk ,flower, and a shit ton of nutritional yeast. I mix in some spinach with it and it comes out pretty well. Not Alfredo sauce by a long shot, but still hearty and cheesy-ish.
ahh I see, probably doesn't come out as rich but definitely much healthier, especially if you're allergic. I've made something similar to that alfredo sauce but with soaked cashews and it was pretty cheesy and good
