Apparently all America actually needs in order to function is a supreme court, since they're the folks with all the real power.
“I would take Joe Biden on his worst day at age 86 — so long as he has people around him like Avril Haines, Samantha Power, Gina Raimondo supporting him — over Donald Trump any day,” a former homeland security secretary, Jeh Johnson
This is the first (real) statement in the piece after the shameless plug and then a shittily written intro.
I'm not reading any more. Gun to my head, and the hand might be my own in this scenario, you couldn't make me do it.
They start out quoting a war criminal with a name I absolutely refuse to believe isn't a spelling mistake for Jed or Jeb!. He's praising, in order, another war criminal (CIA), a "anti-genocide genocide supporter" (Power, fake ass stupid name again), and a person I've never heard of but Wikipedia describes as a venture capitalist ex-governor current commerce secretary aka sounds like a FUCKING FINANCIAL CRIMINAL.
Like is this a joke to these fucksticks at this point. Quoting some Nazi-ass who proceeds to list three of the most disgusting criminal Nazi-asses in the government of the president as if it this is a good thing. Someone, please, shoot me. Holy fuck. Holy fuck.
Ross Douthat obviously sucks and doesn't attack that position because it's an endorsement of other ghouls who have no business near the levers of power, but he does go on to argue against the council-of-ghouls concept in a surprise to me and anyone else who's internalized Betteridge's Law.
I did accidentally scroll down and saw him arguing with a monarchist. I can't even begin to engage with that without typing more unhinged shit
The Lizard People Would Like You to Know They Are Doing a Good Job and Quite Frankly They Do Not Appreciate How Your Tone Has Been Lately
The entirety of our government that is elected, is a facade whose sole purpose is to absorb and justify its legitimacy. The actual power is nowhere near a ballot, and while a lot of people know this, there would probably be a critical mass of rebellious minds if those facades came down. The presidency and congress are essential in that sense - they create legitimacy for the unelected state. Without that legitimacy, their fight is suddenly domestic.
That element of the government is already preparing for real domestic rebellion - the militarization of police and the large swaths of the DoD's domestic army is entirely to answer that specific kind of unrest. It's also why the militarized right wing is almost entirely run by state assets.
So, yes america needs a president, just not the way normies think lol
President Hunter perhaps? https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/hunter-biden-white-house-meetings-president-debate-rcna159975
