I've been playing more Elden Ring, trying to level up a new character for a 2nd DLC playthrough. I've crossed off Radahn and now am just leveling myself up for an early Mohg.
I'm writing massive essays that no one asked for about Dark Souls.
Helldivers got the MLX commando four shot laser guided rocket launcher. It's fun. Seems like a nice side-grade to the EAT17.
I will never give up the Eat-It. Half the fun is littering the battlefield with rockets that may or may not come in clutch 20 minutes later.
Is the game working for PC again? Ever since that bug that tanks framerate any time you entered a menu completely killed my interest in trying to play.
Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic
It's interesting but it's so hard to get things to line up. Is there some kind of snap to grid option I haven't found. Also the tutorial popup minister of transportation keeps popping up again and again to tell me how to move my crops to the factory but they're still growing and my vehicle depot is already set up.
I can't say much about the game, but while it seems really cool, it's also 100% one of the more complex/difficult city builders. So, either way, take your time and take it slow. If you struggle, make a thread on here. I know some folks have played the game for a while.
Got the full version of Dragon Quest XI after completing the demo. Just met Sylvando. What an icon.
I dunno why I'm suddenly on this RPG kick.
They have a semi-weekly 24 hour series right now to get around the licensing for LeMans since they can’t run it as a special event. This week was Daytona.
Finished with Elden Ring, for good for now I think. Picked up Cobalt Core to scratch the ever-present deck builder/roguelike itch. I keep trying Dwarf Fortress and Rimworld, but I end up bouncing off those because I get bored/frustrated setting up priorities and zones and all that just to watch things go awry because someone didn't want to build a bedroom/ bathroom/ grave.
Been looking for a 4X I can dive into, really want to try Dominions 6 while the multiplayer is still fresh and decently populated, but I have no income so I've been having to get my games off the high seas so to speak, and Dom 6 is niche enough that I haven't found any that work. Anyone have suggestions for other games in that vein?
I can't think of many games that are like Dominions 6, except Conquest of Elysium 5 (same devs), which is a bit different and simpler.
If you mean 4X games in general, Stars in Shadow is currently very cheap—it's about 6€ for me on Steam (including its DLC). It's a Master of Orion 1-2 inspired 4X game made by a single dev. One nice thing about it is you can play a game rather quickly, so no 10+ hour sessions for a full game.
I like it quite a bit, but the scope is a bit smaller, so it's not a game for 300+ hours in my opinion.
I love 4X/Grand Strategy games, so if you give me more to work with, I can give you better recommendations.
Deus Ex! Hopefully Ill get a couple sessions in when the kid is napping
Shadow of the Erdtree, finally at the last boss, though I've been taking lots of breaks to help my bf catch up.
I also got Liftoff, a fpv drone simulator. I already had a drone transmitter for my combat robots, so I got a cable to plug it into my computer and now I can practice flying fpv without constantly crashing an expensive drone while learning.
Finished Shadow of the Erdtree.
I picked up Unicorn Overlord on discount. Haven't really played it - the few times I've had time for games I've been too sleepy for a narrative heavy strategy RPG.
Edit: I forgot I've finally gotten near the end on Tunic. Just have the final boss, and might use a guide to see the secrets if I'm still feeling like it.
Yeah, initial impressions are "this is Vanillaware making an Ogre Battle game with a Fire Emblem plot." I'd rather have a Fire Emblem game with an Ogre Battle plot, but what can you do
doing a more completionist playthrough of shadow of the erdtree since my first playthrough was the race against spoilers and my second playthrough was a boss fight highlight reel to show my partner after they got home from visiting friends for a few days.
still playing Trails into Reverie. Gonna play Trails Through Daybreak next and from what I've heard it's reviewing well so that's good to hear.
Started ZZZ and it's pretty mid. Probably gonna drop it or just play it very casually since i'm playing too many gachas. Compared to Genshin and Star Rail they're really pandering to the weeb gooners with this one. The jiggle physics are turned up to 11 and there's only like two male characters lol.
I recently tried Dark Messiah of Might and Magic for the first time. It sucks ass, I love it.
Elden Ring! Made a blasphemous blade build and am now bored to tears, respeccing to an Executioner's Sword build and will pivot to meteoric sword in the DLC.
Edit: nabbed the metioric sword and went back to the base gsme, it's so much fun.
i started gregtech new horizons Minecraft Modpack and can feel myself getting sucked in, it's very slow but satisfying progress
im real deep in morrowind rn. not even advancing the main quests just sooooo much to do in TR and i haven't seen half of it yet. think i'll take this legion knight through the whole nerevarine thing to say ive done it then move on to non-nerevar (random start mod) builds.
"Fucking off and pretending you have amnesia?! Is that what we're playing at, sweet Nevevarine? Is this how you honour the Sixth House, and the tribe unmourned?
... Did you pick a Me-damned cat‽"
Slowly working my way up to Koga in Red. I decided to just grind and get Surge done early since the Lavander-Celadon path was my next step to grab Roland the Growlithe, gen in Mika the Vulpix, catch Dodi the Dodrio, buy Rory the Porygon, snag Fly and the Silph Scope.
The Safari Zone is about to either be quick, or a new form of purgatory.
