this probably bodes poorly for the french empirical designs; i wonder what macron is going to do about it.

unfortunately it means that the russians are kicking the french's ass in africa and i doubt that's any better.

Remind me; who's hoovering up all of the Sahel's gold and uranium? (Hint: if it were Russia, Amerika would have already nuked them just on the uranium alone.)

the russians aren't going after the resources or setting up colonies that can be targeted by nato; they've been going after the parts french empire in africa that the french have intentionally kept weak/unstable and it's been a winning strategy for the russians. they started with the sahel nations and are continuing on with the rest of africa and the english know they're next so they've been working overtime to strengthen their own african vassal states, but they're stuck with their own problems.

that's why macron's rhetoric on russia's ukraine invasion has been so fiery compared to other european leaders; he's got a decade long beef with them.

Again: I'm not seeing where Russia is treating the Sahel worse than fucking France is. I'm also gonna request your documentation on "african vassal states" to Russia; last I knew, Amerika's got those by the pound-- who are you claiming is in cahoots with Russia, and why is that such a problem for you?

you miss understand me: the russians aren't taking over nor colonizing africa; they're simply destabilizing/weakening their european political enemies; while simultaneously giving their mercenary forces free training to create a battle hardened pool of conscript-able citizens; and also creating goodwill in africa; among other things.

it's sort of like the russian's version of china's belt and road initiatives; except with guns and soldiers instead of financing and construction. and so far they've treated the african people well compared to the french; in fact the africans literally invited the russians in to unalive all of their "rebels"

also: "vassal states" was referring to british empire's vassal states in africa; the united states prefers to fuck over latin america more than africa.

So that's the angle you were taking-- you'll have to forgive me then. Typically, a lot of folk when they mention Russia, especially in Afrika, it's most usually with aim to try and slander them as no different from Amerika or Britain's colonial ambitions.

This will either be a "eh bien, vous souffrirez" (the time to leave) moment or, like how settlers still want to retain the isles of Kanak, "you must accept all the necessary consequences" moment...

        eh, vous souffrirez

that seems to be the case with african uranium sources; but i bet it's because kazakhstan provides more uranium to them nowadays.

DEATH TO AFRICOM, KILL THE BOER

I was confused for a moment until Africom turned out to mean the U.S military occupiers...

Honestly, Africom sounds like African version of Chicom... it's a kinda catchy term...

Any real marxist would be a fool if they didn't jump for joy at this news. Africa rises from its shackles.

what stuns me really is that its burkina faso doing this again. It makes me smile to know that in some way, Sankara lives on.

Sankara told the people who'd shoot him that all they were doing was killing a man; not the ideal he embodied. This was always in the mail, and I love seeing the mail get delivered on time.
