Look I don't mean to start anything but if you think defending Che Guevara or Fidel Castro makes someone a "tankie", you're a shitlib still clinging to utmost flimsiest of red scare propaganda.

Defending two of the most successful socialist revolutionaries is called being a socialist.

I think we really need to do work in educating baby socialists about Che and Castro.

I mean yeah, also tankie is a fucking meaningless word. it's just I've seen a few "anarchists" repeat literal CIA propaganda about Cuba and its dumb and misguided.

I have finally found a way to soothe the cognitive dissonance of hating America while also thinking they have pretty cool tanks

Oh man I've had to deal with that one. Castro definitely had some homophobic rules on the book (something he regretted and atoned for(not that that absolves him of guilt)). Yet he was still more LGBT friendly (far earlier too) than every western leader.

I got a graphic novel of his biography, it's great. I highly recommend it.

Che, A Revolutionary Life - Jon Lee Anderson & Jose Hernandez

      I got Castro's autobiography next.
