    Hot take- anyone who previously viewed jack black as some sort of paragon of leftism is kinda delusional

    Any average lib with a following is going to condemn borderline fed posting language for no reason other than optics

        I think it’s more that if you identify with anyone (as lots of people do with Jack black) then it’s easy to assume they have your general worldview. I think that’s the case with a bunch of parasocial “relationships”. It’s a bunch of people assuming literal strangers agree with them.

          I don’t assume celebrities have my worldview. I assume that at the very least, they shut up. So when they open their mouths and expose themselves as being wrong and dumb, I roll my eyes. If they have good opinions, I am pleasantly surprised.

        I think a lot of people thought he was a chill fun dude who's head wasn't as far up his ass as most celebrities. Idk who thought he was leftist tho.
