I mean he's become a careerist and sell out. I don't think his current actions match his views. I guess he really wants to be in Jumanji 4, Kung Fu Panda 28 and Mario 2. And don't forget campaigning for Biden. Imagine throwing away a decades long friendship and band for that though, of all things...

it's funny that jack black being a coward sellout is gonna be in the news for days, maybe even forever, but his friend no one has ever heard of or will ever heard about again said some based shit and nobody cares lol.

I googled him for you, he's a dude in a random 1994 rock band, the band is probably most famous for having a movie almost 2 decades ago. He made several single-episode appearances in a small number of random tv shows. Very obscure niche minor celebrity.

He's a well-known part of Jack Black's band, Tenacious D, which definitely isn't niche. They go back and forth saying each other's names during many of their songs.

maybe in 2006 when their movie came out, these days that's a "what? who?" unless you're really into their niche. Most people don't know the names of band members of bands they don't personally follow and have never knowingly heard one of their songs.

Hot take- anyone who previously viewed jack black as some sort of paragon of leftism is kinda delusional

Any average lib with a following is going to condemn borderline fed posting language for no reason other than optics

I think it’s more that if you identify with anyone (as lots of people do with Jack black) then it’s easy to assume they have your general worldview. I think that’s the case with a bunch of parasocial “relationships”. It’s a bunch of people assuming literal strangers agree with them.

I don’t assume celebrities have my worldview. I assume that at the very least, they shut up. So when they open their mouths and expose themselves as being wrong and dumb, I roll my eyes. If they have good opinions, I am pleasantly surprised.

I think a lot of people thought he was a chill fun dude who's head wasn't as far up his ass as most celebrities. Idk who thought he was leftist tho.

Your name is Jack Black, yet you can't stand a little bit of black humor. Curious! very-intelligent

Everybody Jack is really rich, and he doesn't want to be not rich.

So give him break. I mean, have you seen one of the backyards to one of his houses ?

Whose gonna pay the water bill for that shite ? You ? I don't think so.
