While Mr. Biden and his team publicly insist that he is staying in the race, privately people close to him have said that he is increasingly accepting that he may not be able to, and some have begun discussing dates and venues for a possible announcement that he is stepping aside.

One factor that may stretch out a decision: Advisers believe that Mr. Biden would not want to do it before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel visits Washington on Wednesday at the initiative of Republicans to address Congress, unwilling to give the premier the satisfaction given their strained relations lately over the Gaza war.

Look, if you had one shot or one opportunity
To give bibi a life-threatening disease in one moment
Would you capture it or just let it slip?

If I was a vindictive lame duck, I'd drop out on the day of the speech to upstage him and then spend the rest of my term screwing with the lobby as much as I possibly could. He doesn't have the spine or conviction to do it though.

Biden could do that with his executive power.

But the depressing thing is, they are probably going to replace Biden with the most Zionist Democrat they can find.

        AIPAC will ensure it.

And while they're at it, why not hand over Trump for his support of the Saudis' genocide against Yemen, the family separation policy, and the hundreds of thousands of covid deaths caused by his malice, corruption and deliberate goal of withholding aid from Democrat-voting areas?

And what do you think Trump is? Trump would be vocally cheerleading the genocide instead of spinelessly quibbling with the Israelis over details of who gets massacred and when.

Look, he's not gonna drop out. He'll keep teasing the possibility but in november if he's kickin' he's gonna be on the ticket.

How do i know this rather than just think it? 30 shame-filled years of mistreatment as a registered Democrat.

30 shame-filled years of mistreatment as a registered Democrat.

I just got "kicked out" of my position as the secretary for our local Dem club and I can say with actual authority that they are fucking rabid to keep that dementia riddled corpse on the ticket.

Every day he doesn't drop out strengthens the argument of "it's too late, it would cause too much chaos" so he would be stupid not to string everyone along as long as he can

Biden does not seem to be in a physical state where he can guarantee that he will not "drop out", so to speak, at any time in the near future.

I'm going to set up a bet on whether Trump or Biden dies first. My money's on Trump.

I'd also lay some heavy odds on Trump getting a dementia diagnosis before Biden, but that outcome can be biased by extreme likelihood that Trump's camp would just lie about it.
