Honestly I really like that magazine. They got great exclusive stories and it was really the last major gaming magazine left in print.

I still remember the days when pcgamer and I think game informer too used to give out free demo discs in their magazines.

My cousin was a pcgamer head he had a gaming PC way back when. I used to enjoy those demos with him. I used to get my demos for playstation games through the playstation underground and playstation magazine. Miss demos big time.

My friend saved any demo that had multi-player or co-op for PS1 and when we'd hang out we'd play a bunch of demos just for fun. Sure there was only 1 level or whatever but it was fun to do it together instead of taking turns.

I subscribed to Nintendo power too, but that shits been gone a long time. I'd argue this is bigger because it's really the last major gaming magazine in print

All the good gaming mags eventually fell off. Anyone remember GameFan? They used to have great coverage of Japanese games and the scene there in the 90's to early 2000's.

The last bastion has fallen. I remember when EGM died. That was my favorite as a kid. But you got Game Informer along with your membership card, so these always got read.

Thankfully you can read a lot of issues if these on Retro Mags, who do a great job at preservation.
