As far as the original screenshot goes: not surprising, like every other bad thing, antiveganism is rampant on reddit-logo. Ignorant statements like ”you can only get B12 from animal derived sources” and the usual pick me ”I'm a vegan, but even I hate these pushy vegans!” get updooted, while any actual arguments from vegans don't.

I mean that's kind of an asshole thing to do. That would be like me inviting over a bunch of vegan friends and ordering pepperoni pizza.

So what, you wanted the host, who's vegan, to spend money on animal products, which he's morally opposed to?

You know people can bypass your liberal ineptitude with violence and effective rhetoric, right?

edit: as they've already been doing across the world, dipshit.

Ok so I am not even subbed to this com but I saw this in the modlog, how hard is it to follow a given community's rules?

my friend served us normal, perfectly edible pizza, but it didn't have body parts on it! what an asshole!

You realize there's more to being vegan than just dietary preference? The carnists could eat the vegan pizza just fine, but the inverse isn't true. Or are you the kind of carnist baby who refuses to eat anything without animal parts or secretions?

I suppose the OOP is hyperfocusing on the pizza because it has a specific monetary value, while completely ignoring the nonspecific, but still significant, value of having a place to hang out with his friends.
