It is still utterly uncanny and weird to me that in the US you get random messages from army recruiters like that.
When I was in high school there was a female recruiter who would definitely flirt with seniors and imply she’d do stuff if you enlisted.
It’s bad.

It's not that the army doesn't recruit dogs, it's that Staff Sergeant Styles doesn't get commision to recruit dogs.
