People that want to post screenshots of Twitter with zero engagement, or see some bullshit on r/conservative that infuriates you. Post it here. We don't care about rule 8.

Rule 8 fans, we're here to do you a favour. Just block this comm. I wanted to help the mods who have to remove Rule 8 posts regularly.

I'm not a particularly cool person, so please do offer a suggestion for the comm. Also please do apply to be a mod, as I'm not a super online person, and I live on the opposite end of the word to most Hexbearians.

Love you all.

This is a plot by Hexbear, in order to decrease traffic to our fellow Lemmygradders in shitreactionariessays

I condemn you for this sectarian move! I shall call upon ComradeWenger to grant me the power to be thermonuclear!

I have a feeling this comm will eventually become one of the more popular ones. The urge to dunk and vent because of some bullshit you've seen online is strong, and I can't blame anyone for it. Especially if you have no other place but Hexbear to share it with. comrades

Since I seem to have too much time on my hands, and have some experience modding a few other comms, I'd love to help moderate The Dredge Tank.

Yea highlighting very specific kinds of brain rot has been a cornerstone of this community since it was actually about a podcast. Never really understood the logic behind "random funny batshit takes have to come from a verified source" feels pretty close to reddit obsession with "brigading" or "witch hunting"

You miss 90% of the clown show if you literally limit it to people who's job it is to not get posted tonplaces like this.

I agree, and I'm so glad this comm was finally allowed to be made. I know the rule 8 thing was supposed to improve the quality of hexbear somehow but all it did was degrade it (as some of us predicted from the start) and ensured good posts got regularly removed for a silly reason. "We don't want to see your dumb uncle's reactionary takes!" they said. Speak for yourself! It is very cathartic to see takes similar to those I've also heard sometimes irl get posted here and torn into.

Thank you so much. I'll be asleep when most posters from Burgerland will be posting.

Is this a federated instance? Real question, how does the_dunk_tank handle it?

If the Dunk Tank is for middlebrow posts, and the Dredge Tank is for lowbrow nobodies, can we have a monocled, highbrow debunk tank where we demolish shitty Substack essays?
