    Quick reminder

According to a meta-analysis of 16 studies, insect populations have declined by about 45% in just the last 40 years. The large-scale death of insects poses huge threats not only to the ecosystems they exist in but also to much of our agriculture.

Toledo’s deputy mayor told the 13 Action News I-TEAM earlier this week that the decision to mow it all, and mow it often, came because of the complaints about the native look -- as some found it unsightly.

How weird in the head do you have to be to not only find it unsightly, but to have it bother you so much you complain to the mayors office about it?

I don't know about weird, it often feels like the systems exist to serve these people and only these people. I'd do this if it were like that for me.

The crucial difference here isn't "Why do people use a system designed to accomodate them" it's "Why is the system designed to accomodate these people"?

I'd be mayor and I'd tell them to kick rocks and then send every agency I have after them, but that's kind of precisely why I ain't

Oh Brisby, my good man! Please fetch me the lawn billiards so that I may best that rapscallion Master Arnold at his own game.

And should he besmirch my honor I will shoot him in a duel, yes I shall. Why have a lawn if you don't make good use of it?
