damn, we've rediscovered forums circa 2003. Chapochat's come full circle.
You remember post signatures? My favorite 2003-flavored forum software allowed both post headers and post signatures and HTML in both. People would use them to create their own custom (table-based) post layouts, so everyone's posts looked different.
I keep trying to convince the devs/admins that we should do that, but I think they think I'm joking.
I'd do it for April fools. I'm too young to have been super into forums back then lol. However for university stuff I'm in a bunch of listservs which make me feel ancient.
Check out smwcentral's forums for an example of what that looks like. They still do it.

I don't know how people with full time novelty accounts do it. But sometimes novelty posting is pretty fun.
