I need to rant about this shit because it's driving me up a wall. So I recently quit smoking and switched over to nicotine pouches. They're a lot cheaper, and I'm not coughing up black shit anymore so that's pretty fucking cool. However, the addiction from pure nicotine products like pouches and vapes is WAY worse. I was able to go about 3 days without a cig and all I dealt with was insomnia, but now the anxiety from not having nicotine is way worse. I had gone months without biting my nails, and just absolutely obliterated my nails last night because I had to go without nicotine for a day. I'm gonna start taking biotin so it's harder to break through my nails, but I'm really upset that I fucked up all of my fingers yesterday

I quit heroin, but I haven't been able to quit smoking. Currently switched to gas station cigars instead of cigs or vaping. They're cheaper, and I don't HAVE to inhale them. Plus you can light one up and say "I love it when a plan comes together." The real bad thing about vapes or pouches is that you can literally use them anytime, where as smoking is an actual effort.

I don't smoke but I do some mutual aid stuff around town and I frequently think about buying cigs to give to people when they ask. But they also are like $15/pack so I haven't done it yet. I used to be like "nah I'm not gonna buy people that poison" but its practically medicine compared to the other shit people are smoking out there, especially when shit's really going down some people do kinda need a cig

Yeah, smoking takes more time, it's a lot more active. I can't smoke or vape while playing Pokemon, that requires two hands. But now I can just always have nicotine, and it's also pretty strong. Probably gonna slowly buy the weaker pouches to try to ween myself to a lower amount of nicotine before I quit
