I get pretty frustrated when someone walks slower than me and keeps lurching back and forth so I can't overtake. Idk why, might miss bus maybe.

I don't say or do anything, though sometimes I nip onto the road or between some tight terrain to overtake

I don't think that's ableist, even if they're on crutches or whatever. You're trying to go somewhere and being impeded. What would be ableist is treating them poorly for this instead of remembering that they probably wish that they could go faster too.

Being frustrated is an emotion and there are no bad emotions. There are bad ways to deal with emotions but it doesn't sound like that's an issue you have.

Emotions are good and should be acknowledged and definitely not something you should feel bad for.

      😳🤯

this is obviously correct and a sentiment I've seen before, but idk that I've ever read it put so bluntly, and it feels like the first time I'm truly getting this

      thank you ❤️

Aww thank you and you're very welcome, I had the exact same reaction when I first heard that "there are no bad emotions only bad ways to deal with them" and am so happy I could pay it forward (I think thats the phrase?)

          that is the phrase! Care-Comrade

probably not going to be news to everyone else, but I feel like grabbing everyone I know and going off about this 😂so just keep in your head today the knowledge that I'm spending the day restraining myself from grabbing people by the shoulders and giving excited lectures

Yeah that's just... you're annoyed. An involuntary feeling of impatience. I don't think this is a moral failing since you don't do anything rude to them, you just politely and silently wait until you can find a way to overtake them that doesn't inconvenience them. Do you feel bad when you pass slower traffic on the freeway?

Just watch it, I suppose. Don't let it turn into something worse.
