When the lungs are filling with fluid, it stops it from pooling and leading to drowning. Or it at least increases the amount of fluid needed to drown.
This whole thing is lose-lose.
If he survives, then he'll come back and say it's no big deal.
If he dies, then he becomes a martyr for the Republican Party.
The best case scenario (which is about on par with discovering a unicorn on the list of things that will totally happen) would probably be some middle path where he survives, but he's so weakened and ravaged by the disease that he never really recovers. Long-term complications. Lungs totally fucked. Never able to walk again. Something like that.
But this fantasy of mine is about as useful as all the libs who masturbate this completely ridiculous scenario where Trump loses the election and then goes on trial for tax evasion.
