The quoted portion happens at 9:40. This is from their podcast thing they do thats called even more news I think idk, it just popped up on my feed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-inXSxMvNW8

I cannot fathom rationalizing actually going and voting for the democrats.

(i heard the rules got more serious around here? Idk, I'm not gonna check what they are now because I'm sleepy but these people are famous and this is dunkable so take that)

More proof whenever people say that they're secret communists that no, they're just radlibs.

That was a terrible episode. Anne Applebaum would have been proud of that pile of garbage.

The one that said that the entire politburo was drunk 24/7 because Stalin would drink litres of vodka every day and they were all forced to drink with him because he was authoritarian? That episode?

I listened to it back when I was a lib, and I cringe thinking about it. The Red Alert games do a more realistic depiction of Stalin.

If the person you're dunking on has sponsorship deals, I guarantee you're safe.

I like the show, but the podcast gets even more libby. It's what made me fall out of it.

I think Cody is generally better than most of the team and probably has more control over what comes out of his mouth for the videos. The more everyone else talks the more lib it seems to get.

I think he's been friends with many of them (especially Katie) for a long time and tolerates their lib takes because they are friends.

Right, he doesn't expect to be listened to, he's cynical about democrats in a way Katie isn't.

Edit: I dunno maybe I'm totally off about him, it just feels like he's being jaded about them, not trying to defend Kamala. Maybe I need to kill my Showdies.

This is absolutely what it was. Katie says she feels ignored and he says "yea that's what voting for democrats is, lip service and no actual meaningful acion."

The show is deff pretty liberal bit I don't get going after the guy for saying that democrats aren't actually sincere about their stated beliefs. He wasn't saying it was a good thing.

I watch it for the ads. Cody slamming back a giant glass of AG1 slop to keep the lights on will never stop being extremely fucking funny.

the bits about that agressively liberal puppet whose name I can't recall always send me. the one who says he can smell Cody's blood

EDIT: Warmbo! his name is Warmbo

Warmbo is such a great character. There are almost no caricatures of libs from a left position that embody what's so irritating about them like he does.

Some More News got a lot worse the more bits they added. Shocked that comedy writers came up with that puppet

The puppet is brilliant, but would work better if the hosts had more radical politics.

I love the puppet and I won't apologize for it. But I do agree Warmbo was at his best making fun of libs like Biden supporters during the 2020 race.

Considering that Warmbo has fallen for right wing rhetoric and is a reaction streamer, it seems like an accurate portrayal.

What I loved about it at the time I watched it was that with each episode he became a bit more disheveled in his mannerisms, appearance and production values. It was watching the news man be gradually jokerfied from the news he read which aligned with my own changing perception from following the news. The problem is he only played a character who grew more cynical but the show itself remained trapped in the liberal world view.

Honestly they must be getting bored of being stuck in the news broadcast format and just want to do some cracked skits sometimes

I don't know if Katy has always been part of it, but it seems like the more involved she's gotten, the worse it's gotten. I used to listen to their pod and she was just insufferable to listen to. She regurgitated that whole "calling Liz Warren a snake is misogynistic".
The puppet was introduced as a bit to illustrate how pointless one of their sponsors were, and then they just... ran with it? It was incredibly weird to see.

I enjoyed the puppet at some point, but the episodes are always pushing like 1-3 hours, and I barely have time for that, much less repetitive drawn out fucking muppet bits.

Former employees of Cracked.com before the website got asploded by Facebook's "Pivot to Video" scam.

Ironically enough Cody made videos for Cracked, and so did Michael Swaim, Soren and the rest of the Cracked TV crew. They just decided to get rid of them for basically no reason.

IIRC they blew the budget on getting everyone to do videos, Facebook lied about their view numbers, and when they finally got their ad revenue it was so low they "had" to fire everyone and go to a skeleton crew.

That and cracked.com was bought by E.W. Scripps, who gutted it and resold it.

They weren't doing poorly on YouTube, even won a couple awards for original comedy. Scripps laid off like 20-30 full time staff, others like Soren Bowie and Michael Swaim left w/o being laid off, costs were cut and they were able to sell cracked to some other company.
