How the hell did "people shouldn't be summarily executed for petty stuff like not paying subway fares" become a fringe extremist looney left position?

    Public Service Announcement

    1; Fuck 12.

2; If you hear gunshots, hit the fucking deck. Get low. Get lower than low. I'm talking sub-terranean. Wait for a break in the action, and get the fuck out of there. Pigs in this shit hole are armed to the teeth and notoriously poorly trained. They are a threat to your safety whenever they're around.

Good advice. Just remembering that one time the cops lit up a freeway and killed that UPS driver. Shit is a video game to them

Yup. Classic example. If you look at a diagram of that shooting, they were also standing in each other's field of fire. Not only were they indiscriminately shooting at bystanders, but also each other. Anyone who has even a basic understanding of tactics knows not to do that.

This. Mother earth loves you and you should give her a big damn hug. If you can get behind something solid - really solid, stone or concrete, get behind it then hug the earth. If you can't then find a depression or low area and hug the earth. Worst case; just hug the earth.

If you're at home and there's shooting outside go to the basement, or move as far from the street as you can and lie down. If you've got a big cast iron bath tub or something hide behind that.

If you get a chance to run; Run and keep running. Don't stop, just keep going. if you can go through alley ways so you're not in line of sight of whatever is going down. If the shooting isn't close to you then keep moving.

“Officers were put in a very difficult situation to save themselves,” Maddrey said.

They literally opened fire on a crowded subway platform because a guy jumped the fare gates and told them to fuck off. They killed one person and may have killed another. They "Knew he had a knife when he refused to take his hands out of his pockets" using their exceptional cop telepathy.

    Police state ass country.

“2 NYPD Officers were injured earlier this afternoon by gunfire in Brownsville, Brooklyn. We are awaiting further details regarding the extent of injury and the condition of the officers. I offer my prayers for their safety and recovery and remind all New Yorkers to never forget the courage and bravery of our NYPD,” Brook-Krasny posted on X.

"courage and bravery of our NYPD"

shoots into a crowd because an unarmed rando was marginally rude to them (they are paid to not give a shit about this)

amerikkka-clap the fact that they are being lauded as heroes and not facing court for manslaughter at the very least tells us quite a lot about american culture

jesus christ. so NYPD with their overwhelming numbers and budget and sheer bordem just light up crowds of people because someone has a fucking knife and jumped a fare

imagine being the guy just going about your day and getting suddenly domed in the brain and likely never coming back the same person if at all

then you have dozens of pigs every square meter and can't just let the fare guy walk or when he pulls the knife just corner him, get a working taser, fuck order a dozen of those chinese catcher poles, anything but blast away at everyone because of a fucking KNIFE and a couple DOLLARS

Correction: they decided he had a knife using their psychic pig powers. Because he wouldn't take his hands out of his pockets.

They just opened up on some guy for literally no reason after their electroshock torture guns failed.

he had a knife "in his pocket." guarantee he didn't even take it out or they would have said that. they only found out he had one after they shot him. honestly pretty good chance it was planted but i'll wait for the bodycam footage that is surely forthcoming.

two police officers on transit detail at the station at Sutter Ave. and Van Sinderen Ave. in Brownsville saw the man go through the gate without paying and confronted him — only to have the scofflaw, who had a knife in his pocket, threaten the officers, NYPD Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey said at a news conference.

Sunday’s shooting marked the second time in less than 48 hours that NYPD officers fatally shot a suspect when their Tasers did not work. On Friday evening, police shot and killed a suspect wanted for three murders in Brooklyn in 2022 after he reportedly charged at them with a knife, cops said.

Cool, so two times the cops murdered someone and lied about being threatened by a knife

I think the numbers have been run and their efforts to catch public transit crimers have cost like 3x as much as the alleged crimes.

    The title and subtitle

NYPD officer, 3 others shot during showdown with armed fare-beater at Brooklyn L subway station

Police respond after an officer and three other people were shot in the Sutter Avenue subway station in Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York City on Sunday, Sept. 15 2024.

and the fact that the whole article refers the guy as the "suspect" makes it sound like it wasn't pigs who shot them
