Call it a Tamemoji. It gets its own column on your profile page complete with its stats. It evolves digi-like across emojis sharing keywords. Not sure how we'd tier them though.

        Turn 1:
        Sicko-Pog misses attack.
        K-Pain misses attack.

        Turn 2:
        Sicko-Pog misses attack.
        K-Pain attack does 25% damage.

        Turn 3:
Sicko-Pog CRITICAL attack does 50% damage.
        K-Pain attack does 25% damage.

        Turn 4:

Neopets has been screwing up for years by not turning the whole site into a F2P mobile app on the Apple and Google stores. Someone has to take the crown.

Every time you disengage in a post your tamemoji gets a care mistake. Every time you delete a post your tamemoji gets a care mistake. Every time you upvote a post that later gets removed my a mod: care mistake.

Your tamemoji instantly jumps an evolution stage if you report a mod's post and it gets removed. You get get a care mistake if you report a post and it isn't removed within 24 hours.

Your tamemoji needs to be fed posts weekly by making posts and getting upvotes. Slowly devolves if not fed back to egg stage.

Would also have a rock-paper-scissors type attributes like Digimon has with that adds 10% effectiveness sometimes.

Each emoji would be tagged with either advanced marxist [AM] -> progressive lib [PL] -> regressive reactionary [RR] (-> advanced marxist) (not sure the order or the names).
With "apolitical" (always in scare quotes) being a free type that doesn't interact with the other 3 this way.

COuld literally just use the Digimon system of Vaccine -> Virus -> Data( -> Vaccine) and Free instead maybe. Can't think of an equivalent.

Or maybe Thesis (more liberal/neutral emojis) -> Antithesis (more straight-up reactionary emojis) -> synthesis (more marxist emojis).

I actually wrote a discord bot in python that could have been very easily turned into something like this but, alas, that hard drive played a trick on me and it deleted everything i ever wrote

To be clear it was likely the programming equvilent of a vehicle made by orks in warhammer 40k where it shouldn't actually work but my will is the only thing running it

Speaking of which is there a better method in pythod than using Pickle for having variables stored outside the running program

Guy who has fucked with Python here for like a decade; as far as I'm aware, sadly no. Though if it's all the data is representable in text, consider JSONs.

Please let me know if the answer is actually yes though because pickle is a pain.

I'm struggling to decide if this is a meme shitpost idea that belongs to the sewer it came from or if it's an amazing feature and I should spend hours implementing it

Real talk, I miss virtual pet games (the microtransaction treadmill ones on phones don't count) and want to see how lifelike a modern one could be if given a heavy focus on AI (not the kind of AI that takes an entire data center to run).

Bring back the fucking Chao Garden, Sonic Team.

No kidding, as a child, I printed out a full 43 page guide on rearing Chaos, it was the bomb. Just a focused and fleshed version of that as a game would be rad.

I'm playing with the Digimon Vital Bracelet and imagining all the ways I'd improve it. It's really close to being amazing but Bandai refuses to make something too good because they'd rather release slight improvements repeatedly.

Maybe they'd sit in all your posts between your profile picture and your username. And the upvotes would collect from all your posts.
