i dunno man, if you were in 1939 i'm not convinced you'd think what happened in poland was going to engulf the whole planet in a firestorm but the last several years, rising tensions/escalating fights with a bunch of nations in various stages of diplomatic and economic entanglement is exactly the circumstance a global war erupts from

Regardless, I can telepathically hear all the gleeful oinking from military contractor execs who probably planned the whole thing.

This clusterfuck of a global socioeconomic system is absolutely going to bring everyone down together once enough "inertia" has passed so to speak. World wars never happend all in one year, you can see it building up economically for a long ass time, then war starts regionally somewhere, and fast forward a bit and everyone is dying left and right while the porky-happy are raking up their war economy profits

Thousands of missiles launched into Israel. No reported fatalities. Minimal injuries, primarily resulting from people injuring themselves as they rush into shelters.

I don't understand the strategy at all.

I've heard they struck an airfield and an offshore platform. Israel has outlawed publishing of videos that strike military targets, so its subjects are understandably reluctant to post footage if that if it exists.

Nonethess, I've heard unconfirmed reports about potential strikes on an Israeli airfield. We'll want to await announcements by resistance parties before taking this as fact.

Generally, the resistance has not pursued a strategy of targeting civilians or to maximize casualty rates, so a low death count from a strike by a nation that has very precise targeting capabilities is expected.

Also, Iran has announced that this is only the first wave of their retaliation

I don't doubt this is true, but I'd be curious to know how it is being enforced in the modern cell-phone age.

I guess we'll see how far Israel can stretch itself. If this blunts their incursion into Lebanon, that would be a positive sign. But I can't imagine they're not going to retaliate in turn, given the current pattern of behavior from Tel-Aviv.
