She’s apart of the pipeline. I appreciate her efforts and those who also call her out. Ilhan’s daughter is based though.
i think shes also moving those pmc types left. also its really weird that a lot of shows are now having that new 'brown congresswoman that is mouthy' trope. like the boys and space force come to mind.
i know a lot of unideological/apolitical normies who really like her, she's doing her part
I think her family was actually relatively well off, but her father died in 2008 and any safety provided by what they had saved up got eaten away by the recession and legal battles over the estate. But the rate at which someone who is ostensibly middle class can lose everything in the thunder dome of American capitalism is another good argument for socialism. Honestly it might be a good idea for her to focus on her backstory as one of losing middle class stability, it might appeal to a large chunk of PMC libs who are at least partially sympathetic to her views.
Her dad was an architect, and I'd say they were very middle income. He owned his own firm so I'm sure that made healthcare and things like life insurance non existent. She definitely had some real struggles after her dad died.
Also they didn't really enter the middle class like that until she was a few years into school.
She worked as an intern in Ted Kennedy's office and she won an award at the Intel science fair when she was in high school (which is the highest high school science award usually).
What's impressive about her is that her entire families situation was always fickle and she was still able to all that, only for it to come crumbling down when her dad died.
I think she's probably about the same as Sanders is ideologically, and she's been shown to be accountable to the organizations that have supported her, that's basically good enough for me as it relates to American electoral politics. I do sometimes wish they weren't democrats though, but that's my only real complaint in this regard, but I also recognize there are tradeoffs in terms of what they'd get done.
The only meaningful difference I see between her and Sanders is that she sounds far more like other politicians who spend all this time talking about themselves.
Looks like the guy from the "I'm learning Thai so I can go to Thailand for... a thing" meme
Under socialism he will be provided with a free brown paper bag.
Is that nosferatu or is it jordie el nino polla or is it rami malek
Polumbo's been trying his best to become the Milo Yiannopoulos of the Washington Examiner, but he's way too boring and dumb to pull it off.
