Harris has run a remarkable race, one truncated by the historic route by which she became her party’s nominee. But now she must finish it in the way many longer campaigns begin: by prioritizing retail politics that win over the reluctant.

historic route? you mean the whole country and world watching the sitting president and incumbent candidate have his brain be shit out of his nose and ears on live television? and then him throw geriatric tantrums about dropping out for weeks until their billionaire financiers pulled their funds, and her being jimmied into his place so they wouldn't run afoul to campaign finance laws?

I have MSNBC family and the amount of denial they had over Biden until the debate was incredible. And I kept pointing it out and they'd tell me it wasn't that bad. While he's out there getting petulant and belligerent with journalists asking slightly difficult questions and the infamous "whywhywhywhywhy" moment. And they're not stupid people my mom was a teacher for Christ's sake. But they're misled and informed by media cretins exactly like this fucker here. They see him visibly deteriorating and sputtering like an old dog with hip dysplasia. And then the debate and he gets whisked away and Harris can be the savior. And my folks were talking about it and saying "wow Joe has gotten worse" gotten? He's been worse! He just finally fed to you as something more than a 19 second clip where he still has trouble with words to "deficit" but they cherry picked it

Even Nancy Pelosi was pushing him to drop out. I don't know how anyone could ignore it with that too.

And my folks were talking about it and saying "wow Joe has gotten worse" gotten? He's been worse!

Gotta love the liberal ability to situate themselves firmly one one side of an issue then when it becomes unignorable they were on the wrong side of it to pretend they weren't on that side or even pretend they were on the other side of that issue the whole time.

Also fun fact the imperialist Trilateral Commission ghoul behind the proxy "Afghanistan trap" against the Soviets Zbigniew Brzezinski's daughter is on MSNBC's Morning Joe talking to everyone's mom (or for a long time was, idk I don't watch it). She brought him on once to celebrate his "achievements." His son is also Biden's ambassador to Poland during this Ukraine proxy war (funny that)

Oh weird, I assumed Kamala's unwillingness to discuss anything related to material well-being and only focusing on "joy" was supposed to be a Buddhism sort of thing. Like, Kamala's brand of 4 Noble Truths:

    1. Existence is short and painful (trying to extend it with things like "healthcare" or "basic public-health policies" is cheating)
    2. Suffering is caused by attachment and desire for material things
    3. Only by abandoning desire for material things, such as food and housing, can one find Joy
    4. Voting Blue is the only path to completely abandoning your attachment to material well-being

For the love of God drop the joy bullshit. I don't care what happened this election but goddam is the joy nonsense absolutely grating.

Jokes on them because instead of brunch they'll probably be getting four years of nervous breakdowns.

The entire article reads like it was published as an unfunny but on point satire by The Onion. How can this shit be real in the time of a US-sponsored genocide?...

The campaign doesn’t need a post-joy strategy, but it definitely needs an in-addition-to-joy strategy.

If I was was born 100s of years in the future - I wouldn't and couldn't understand this era or believe it actually happened. I know that because right now I'm living through this and I still can't believe it.

Honestly, if she offered enough Treats™ (or even just diverted a fraction of the wealth US elites hoard to the masses) she would probably get carte blanche to do anything overseas or even domestically to smaller groups, than she could ever want from the majority. (I might not be very optimistic on settler and even broader assimilated-Anglo society and culture). Yet thankfully they can't fathom doing that either, they have to have their cake and eat it too.

What is all this "joy" shit? Are we in the Lisa: The Painful timeline? Is Kamala gonna turn into a joy mutant?

So weird how Nate Copper’s model has gone from 64% to 53% chance for Kamala in only 3 weeks, wonder why
