In a few months they will say "Biden needs to undo the dangeorus Trump's anti war policy"
Stop. You've willed this into existence. Come February we're going to hear about Biden giving more money to the military and trying to make NATO stronger because Trump wasn't hawkish enough.
I have now heard variations of 'The coffers of the treasury will be bare once Biden enters office', 'Biden will need to expend all his political capital repairing our democracy', and now this. They're laying the groundwork to do absolutely nothing and being completely self-righteous in their refusal to do anything.
That's the plan all along. I still remember it clear as day when Dems won big back in 2008 with Obama and proceeded to do nothing. We had heard for years up to that point about how they needed to stop Bush, stop Republicans and take back the government. Well, they did just that. They got a supermajority in congress and then did absolutely nothing, went on to lose it in 2 years and then spent the remainder of Obama's presidency arguing that they couldn't do anything cause of the Republicans.
Democrats are scared shitless to use power. I think Biden is going to win and his presidency will amount to nothing. It's still unclear if Dems will retake the senate and keep the house, but even if that happens, they'll come up with some excuse not to do anything. Usually it's something about balancing the budget or blaming it on taxes.
Right now, the wealth inequality is the highest it's been in US history. We have the worst economy and highest unemployment since the great depression, and Biden has no answer for any of those problems. Like back in 2008 where Dems just wanted to beat Bush and then had no plan for anything after, it's a repeat of that but worse, cause they're not even trying to hide it. All this is going to lead to a new right wing reactionary movement that is going to be like the Tea Party on steroids and more fascist than Trump could ever be.
