I thought part of the reason for Bruce Wayne was to be a selfish, arrogant rich dude that only looks out for himself. No one would ever think someone that shitty would be batman, which is the point. If Bruce started trying to be some savior of the people, it would make him more likely to be targeted as someone who might be Batman
