"Hearts are in the right place" is code for "won't challenge the supremacy of money and corporate power in America". He's giving away the game because its basically an admission that either candidates agenda won't fundamentally change the status quo and so either one winning is acceptable.

People like him are the biggest indictment of capitalism. It would be one thing if the Duke Nukem's and Dr Eggman's of the world were on top. They'd have all the money to make their moon bases and obstacle courses for intrepid adventures to navigate.
