I'm still upset from yesterday. So much fucking blatant cruelty and invalidation directed at my comrades and friends, by people I thought were my comrades and friends.

That's all, that's the post. This isnt to shit stir, I'm just actually devastated by what a shitshow yesterday was and won't be around for a bit

seeing people unironically say that "shit like this [asking people to set their pronouns] is why leftism will never succeed!!" was fucking upsetting but not surprising tbh, trans people seem to get blamed for fucking everything

the person last night who unironically was like "We could be solving poverty in Africa if it wasn't for this pronoun struggle session" like

        1. Africa is not a country or uniformly impovershed, so way to be racist

        2. no one is forcing you to read these struggle sessions, this website is free. You can simply downvote or participate in the other dozens of active threads not about other things (or make your own), or just feel free to do something else with your time

        3. picking one of the dozen pronoun options is not difficult or time consuming, like just set it and forget it. And these motherfuckers act like doing a 5 second task out of consideration for your comrades is the reason we don't have communsim. Fuck, lol. Maybe if everyone was willing to put in a little effort to do little things for others that maybe they don't 100% understand, it would be easier for enact communism.

It's all good, quill. The usual way these go is everyone is a tad bit reactionary the first day until they sleep on it and realize they're being dumb for no good reason. I imagine the struggle sesh is over and done with.
