In Vermont, Game Wardens are cops along with Game Warden activities. If they catch you running a stop sign, they can pull you over and ticket you like any other cop.
Kind of, though I'd likely say its law enforcement under the purview of protecting the commons from exploitation similarly in how mandatory tags fund (if those funds are given appropriately) the maintenance of those same commons for the community.
