Just such a lib mindset to toss perfectly good organic matter into the trash instead of the compost bin.

I was screaming at that guy

I got tired of arguing with Bluesky libs like him and small accounts too. I try to limit my use of my "talking" account to a few times a month or much less. A couple months ago I started to use an alt along with grabbing my own feeds I made at skyfeed.app so with that account I can use the site without following anybody. The downside is a single programmer (as far as I know) maintains Skyfeed so sometimes the feeds are empty/down for a few minutes, hours or even days. And there's no forum or Reddit sub or anything to commiserate or chat in.

Yeah I think I need to block Bluesky. It's my first time interacting with libs in quite a while and it's triggering my anxiety very, very badly.

They either ignore leftists or block/mute. They don't actually want any form of discussion. It's their hangout.

Yeah. All the posts gushing about how cozy the vibes are are both strange and upsetting.

Their yearning for being back at brunch always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Mixed metaphors intended.

              ---

Seriously though - Bluesky libs don't want improvements in American life. I think of them like redditors with a mortgage. For example if a cop blatantly kills (if not executes) a black motorist - there will be any number of posts saying how awful it is. I think they are sincere but sympathy is easy especially when it's topical. And it's not as if Kamala the cop is going to try to reform the police even a tiny bit on a federal level.

What dem pol is talking about police reform? The cops will do horrible things until they are forced to stop. The dems have shown no interest nor motivation in stopping them. In fact - of course - the dems will continue to throw money at them like they always do.

I'm honestly surprised I haven't seen more Trumpkins over the past 9 years.

If Trump wins - his hogs will be crazed with glee and they'll go wild. I can imagine Christmas nativity tableaus featuring Trump instead of Jesus.

[Edit - I meant the tableaus will be mainstream.]

This doesn't work as an analogy, he was already "tossed in the trash". We're carefully considering taking him back out of the trash if anything.

Idk about those other issues, but on the union point, there’s a pretty big difference between what Biden and Trump have done with the NLRB.

Here’s a small post I made about it the other day https://hexbear.net/comment/5553162

If they win even by the smallest margin, the libs will interpret it as a glorious mandate of heaven to gleefully push further right on everything.

If they lose, the libs will interpret it as sabotage by a fifth column of internal enemies aided by Russia and/or China.

      Exactly.

Look, voters didn't do enough to put Kamala in the White House. Also - recent reportage indicates that Russia probably...

This is plagiarism! Roosevelt voters basically said this about Alf Landon, governor of the Sunflower State - "like a sunflower, he's yellow, black-hearted, and withers away before November."
